Although our knowledge of genetic abnormalities that cause health disorders is expanding, the pace of discovering cures for genetic diseases is not nearly as fast. However, technologies applicable to preventing heritable genetic diseases have been developing, among them so-called “next-generation sequencing.” This efficient and inexpensive means to sequence DNA has revolutionized the study of genomics and could play a major role in future preimplantation genetic screening approaches. The Xiaomi Mi 5 sports a 5.15-inch 1080x1920 pixels display with curved 3D Ceramic glass, and a pixel density of 428ppi. The Mi 5 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor coupled with Adreno 530 GPU. The Mi 5 packs a 3000mAh battery and supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0. The Mi 5 is the company's first to sport a physical home button that features an integrated fingerprint sensor. Mi 5 sports a 16-megapixel Sony IMX298 camera sensor with PDAF (phase detection autofocus) and LED flash. It uses phase detection autofocus and Deep Trench Isolation for faster focusing and more accurate colours. The Mi 5 sports a 4-Ultrapixel front camera, with 2-micron pixels.
