[Book Review] Inside the mind of an engineer

Guru Madhavan takes us from the French wars of the 18th century to our digital era, discussing various challenges that engineers have tackled throughout history. The focus of the book is on the mindset of the engineer as opposed to feats of engineering, exploring the individual thought process rather than the development or construction of large engineering systems such as the Panama Canal or the Burj Khalifa. Reviewer Sybil Derrible recounts some of the book's engaging vignettes, and offers readers a glimpse into the problem-solving processes employed by engineers. Author: Sybil Derrible
